Turkey

Today we caught a ferry across to Turkey. It only takes 55 minutes, but...
It was a nightmare!

Michelle happy she is off ferry.

We should not have gone as the sea was rough. We thought we would be the only people onboard the small ferry boat. Wrong, it was packed with Koreans. We were packed in downstairs in the airless cabin with them, everyone was happy until 10 minutes in when the vomiting started.
Sadly, Michelle caught the bug and chucked on her white top. Urgggh.

One way to avoid seasickness! (Michelle took this photo)

Turkey was good, people friendly, food good, bought some Turkish Delight which we may bring home (unless we get desparate). I had a haircut, one of the best overseas haircuts, it took a long time, he trimmed everything and brushed me off every minute. At the end he pushed my face into a bowl of hot water and washed my hair, water went up my nose.
We asked about 10 people where the Turkish Bathhouse was, it was here it was there, it was down that street and next to the castle, it was the other way, it was ... in the end we found it and it was closed. Instead we found a cafe and had some Baklava - all drenched in honey.

The ferry trip back was better, just as rough but we stayed outside and got wet. BBRRRRR!
A new group of Koreans vomited, but we were OK.
Memo to self: avoid small boats, especially in rough weather.
